Throw Revolution X Spinworkx Trick Tutorials #15 - Over the Arm Hops

Throw Revolution, together with us, will be releasing a set of 20 Trick Tutorials to get players, new or old, honed in for freestyles. This set of tricks to come include various modern elements that is worth a learn to rack up points during contests.

The trick-set for these trick tutorials was thought up by 2011 World Yo-Yo Champion, Marcus Koh, and the elements in these short tricks are still used by Marcus in his contest freestyles.

For the fifteenth trick in the Trick Tutorials line-up, we have a hop trick that is modern and cool! The Over the Arm Hops, was made popular by John Ando in the late 2000s/early 2010s. With his unique and insanely creative tricks, John is still one of the few players who push the boundaries of trick creation and trick presentation.

For this trick, we recommend that you know how to do Eli Hops, Boing-Boing as well as over the arm elements like over the arm trapeze, etc. Once you are confident with all these tricks, then give the Over the Arm Hops a try and you should be able to get it.

This is one trick that is definitely great for freestyles, performances or just showing off to your friends. Why? Because it is a 'big' trick that involves lots of movement and uses more space around your body. What's more, this trick is not too difficult to learn or master.

As always if you have any questions, you can hit us up on Facebook, Instagram, drop us an email, or come down and ask us (or the Throw Revolution team) on how to perfect this (or any other) trick!

Have fun practicing, and keep spinning!
