Throw Revolution, together with us, will be releasing a set of 20 Trick Tutorials to get players, new or old, honed in for freestyles. This set of tricks to come include various modern elements that is worth a learn to rack up points during contests.

The trick-set for these trick tutorials was thought up by 2011 World Yo-Yo Champion, Marcus Koh, and the elements in these short tricks are still used by Marcus in his contest freestyles.

For the Nineteenth trick in the Trick Tutorials line-up, we have a Horizontal-style trick that was made popular in the late 2000s. Almost every contest player in the late 2000s had to/tried to include a Horizontal style trick in their freestyles to rack up the points, and one of those tricks was the Horizontal Braintwister as seen here.

Horizontal style tricks were made popular by 4x 1A World Champion, Hiroyuki Suzuki, and can been seen in practically every freestyle these days.

There issn't much to say or describe about the Horizontal Braintwister. One of the main tips that you must know before attempting this trick is that before doing it horizontally, you must be able to do this entire trick from a regular Trapeze before even considering going horizontal. Practice makes perfect, so keep going at it. When you are ready to take it horizontal, try the trick at progressive angles before getting it completely flat and horizontal.

The Horizontal Braintwister is a really cool trick that can be done not only in contest freestyles, but during public performances as well. It is a very impressive looking trick that is bound to amaze spectators seeing modern yo-yoing as compared to yo-yoing from the past.

To end this Trick Tutorial off, do remember that if you have any questions, you can always hit us up on Facebook, Instagram, drop us an email, or come down and ask us (or the Throw Revolution team) on how to perfect this (or any other) trick!

With that, have fun practicing, and keep spinning!
